At home family portraits | Victor NY

Where's your happy place? Is it the park near your house? The beach? Or your own backyard? Close your eyes and picture that space, and how it makes you feel.

Now, if that's where you're most comfortable, and most you - why not create your family photos in your happy place?

If that's your backyard, let's do it! Much like this family enjoys hanging out by the pool and relaxing at home. If you look out your window and it makes you smile, then it's a perfect spot for your portrait session.

Besides that - we love shooting in unique spaces like these, and since every home is different, they're all unique! We also love to be able to tell the story of who you are at home, just like this family!

Oh and by the way - check out these amazing arrangements designed by the talented Stacy K Floral! They're so pretty, love them!

Newborns at Home: Family Portraits in Rochester NY

It's been five years, but I still remember tearing up during their wedding ceremony at Casa Larga Vineyards. It was one of the most fun, and most heartfelt wedding days I've ever been a witness to.

So to see them now as parents to their beautiful two week old baby just melts my heart. The love they share just oozes out of everywhere. Seriously, this family is that adorable.

I loved watching them cuddle close together, beaming at their tiny little man. They know that all too soon that little cutie is going to start wiggling out of their lap. So today, they're cherishing each chance, and it's beautiful.

Fairport NY Candid Family Pictures: Lollypop Farm and Playground Fun

Goats, horses, pigs AND a playground? What a fun combo!

Our membership events are in full swing (no pun intended, just a nice coincidence). And this month we visited Lollypop Farms in Fairport with the littles in our membership program.

One of the truly beautiful aspects of this program is that there's no pressure. Letting the kids be kids is exactly what this is all about. Exploring, playing, climbing, swinging, laughing, being goofy with goats, slides and with you.

It's so much fun for us to capture. With no pressure to get "the perfect shot", we can get some amazing smiles in photographs - some that you'd never expect to get anywhere else.

And all by just letting the kids be themselves.

Cobblestone Family Portraits: Victor Photographer

Their perfect Saturday is spent in the backyard, and it's easy to see why.

My neighbor recently told me that the backyard is our oasis, and this family sure had that. A pool, and playground and even a putting green (put in by the previous owners).

The three kids seemed ready to jump in as soon as word was given. We made a few family portraits in their favorite space, and then let the kids splash in the pool as their reward. Lots of fun with a super sweet group. Here's a little peek, enjoy!

Rochester NY Photographers: K Family at Home

It's pretty cool to be a part of someone's entire life. Before Sarah was born, we photographed her parent's wedding. We celebrated when she arrived and again a few months later.

Now, there are lots of changes going on for Natalie and Dan. A new house, a new bun in the oven, and little Sarah turned two. It was my pleasure to be one of the first to see the new house, and watch as Sarah got to explore her backyard for the first time. This little cutie is a bundle of energy.

Dan, Natalie, it's always a pleasure. Thank you for being amazing human beings.

Families in Victor NY: Portrait Sessions at Home

Susan and Brian are very peaceful people. They have a meditation area set up in their spacious backyard, a vegetable garden and a very mellow golden retriever who likes to lay by the piano. I really enjoyed my time with them, creating images for Cobblestone Living magazine. I especially loved when Roxy joined Susan for some quiet mediation. So cute! Check them out, and say hi if you see Susan and Brian out and about!

Rochester NY Family Photos: Maternity Pictures at Highland Park

I have to admit, I was very excited to work with Mindy and Ryan. Lindsey, one of our Class of 2016 Seniors, gifted them a session. And they choose to use as a beautiful maternity session.

While working with them, I discovered that Lindsey also introduced this couple: her brother, and her teacher. Two years ago they were wed, last year they bought a house, and this year they will bring a baby home!

Mindy and Ryan are very excited to bring a new Broncos fan to the world, and doesn't she look amazing in that dress? Check out a few favorites, and leave them some well wishes in the comments! Many congratulations to two wonderful people, I can't wait to meet the little man!

3 Reasons You Haven't Scheduled Your Family Portrait Session and Why You Should

3 Reasons You Haven't Scheduled Your Family Portrait Session and Why You Should

Because your kids aren't going to stay kids forever (and are beautiful even when they're running around), there’s no younger you than today, and there’s no time like the present. Right now, today is truly all we’re guaranteed in this life.

College Graduation Portraits: Ashley & Family

From the first time I spoke with Ashley, I knew this was going to be a fun session. It absolutely lived up to expectation. It was everything you could ask for in a photo session: awesome people on a gorgeous night in a meaningful location.

After four years of studying Psychology at SUNY Geneseo, Ashley wanted to celebrate by creating photos around campus to remind her of the happy memories. Her boyfriend of two years and parents joined in too!

Check out the images below and you'll get an idea of how much fun we had. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, give us a call! We love celebrating life with you!

Ashley, I hope you have an amazing time in Europe, and I can't wait to see what you do when get back!

Cheers!

Fairport Photography of Bob and Elena

One of my very favorite parts of this job is meeting new people and hearing their stories. Elena is Russian, and heading home soon to be with family for the summer months. We squeezed in a quick session before she takes off so she can show her family in Russia where she lives.

Bob runs Eastside Fence here in Fairport and came highly recommended for the quality work he does. I have enjoyed getting to know them both over the last few weeks and feel like I have made new friends.

I mean, it's not every day that a session ends with tea and cookies! Thank you so much for your hospitality, and I cannot wait to hear about your trip, Elena! Safe travels!
