Family Pictures in Victor NY with the Whole Family

Extended family pictures hold a special place in our hearts as they bring together multiple generations under one frame. The joy and love that emanate from a 50th wedding anniversary celebration is truly remarkable. It is a testament to a couple's commitment and the enduring bonds they have built with their loved ones over the years.

For this family, the anniversary came during the pandemic, so they made up for that with their family portraits over the summer. There were a lot of laughs, and some beautiful classic cars involved in this Victor NY portrait session!

I mean, come on, how gorgeous is this pink Chevrolet? And the adorable couple is pretty great too, right?

Victor NY Senior Portraits: Class of 2022, Ethan

Ethan is a Class of 2022 Senior from Victor High School.

For his senior portraits, he wanted to keep it simple. We visited his home first, where we caught a few minutes with his loveable cat Missy. Then we photographed the rest of his senior pictures in Macedon at The Ganargua Creek Meadow Preserve.

I especially liked the way the late evening light fell just right in these senior pictures.

If you know him, leave him a congratulations on his graduation below!

Victor High School Senior Portraits: Class of 2022, Nicolas

Victor High School Senior, Nicolas, had a hard time selecting his favorite senior pictures. Because as he said, “We didn’t expect to like them all so much!”

When it comes to senior portraits, that’s the best problem to have, if I may say so.

The Granger Homestead in Canandaigua is where his parents were married, and made a great setting with lots of backdrops to choose from for his senior session. It fit his sunny personality and easy going nature.

It was such a pleasure to work with you Nicolas, congratulations to you, and the rest of the Class of 2022!

Victor High School Senior Pictures: Class of 2022, Nick

Photographing the senior portraits for a younger brother of a prior client is always meaningful. As a senior photographer, I am mindful to make the portrait session similar (for parents) but different (for the high school senior). :)

It had been four years since I last saw Nick, when he made a special appearance at Matt’s senior portrait session.

An avid reader, we had to include that passion in his senior pictures, and have fun with it. Though covering his face with the book was my idea, he may have preferred to do that for all his senior pictures! You couldn’t tell from these shots, but he going into the senior session, he wasn’t too excited about it. That’s ok, sometimes that the case, we get it! Luckily, he loves his momma and worked with me to get some nice shots for her and the Victor High School yearbook. We even included his Victor Robotics shirt!

Good luck next year, Nick!

Victor High School Senior Portraits: Emily and Lauren

Capturing senior pictures for twin sisters is so much fun!

Their happy place is along the shores of Canandaigua Lake, where they rock in the swing there and talk about their lives. You might also spot them on a volleyball court at Victor High School. You don’t want to mess with these twins on the court.

Emily and Lauren were so sweet, two peas in a pod, as they say. We took some of their senior portraits in nature, and along the water front, where things are peaceful.

We wish both of you an awesome senior year, and beyond!

Family Pictures in Victor NY: Rochester NY Photographers

How do you adequately say thank you to one of the families who started your photography career?

Follow up question, why are they all grown up? I swear, these kids were little just last week. Over the years, I’ve worked hard at getting them to smile. I’ve made silly jokes, I’ve acted a little crazy, I’ve gotten them to play games, all in an effort to get them to show their real smiles.

This time, all I had to do was say the word “fart” (or some other similar word) and they would crack up.

Ahhh the joys of older kids. Though, I guess it could probably work on the younger kids too. I’ll give it a try at my next session.

Victor High School Senior Photos: Elliott, Class of 2020

While every Senior portrait session is fun for different reasons, this one was a first.

Elliott is lucky enough to have an amazing backyard with trees and fields of tall grasses, and also a pond next door where he loves to fish.

But his other favorite hobby? Building his own remote control vehicles. After we did some nice natural portraits, we headed over to the pond for some fun with his favorite plane. We even got one image with a car, plane and a sea plane! It was a challenge, but we accepted it and conquered it.

(Note: I may have issued this challenge to myself.)

Without further ado, enjoy! And if you’ve got a fun hobby you’d like to include in your senior portraits, let us know! We love tailoring sessions to fit who you are.

Fall Family Portrait at Cobblestone Creek Country Club

They’ve got a sophomore and a senior now, but still live on the same beautiful golf course. I can’t imagine how many times they’ve crossed these bridges in those years, but they are definitely at home here. The Cobblestone community is truly such a lovely area to raise a family in every season.

Check out the scenery, the color and the happy! While you’re here, say hi to the Summersons!

Cobblestone Living Family Portraits

I met them at their brand new home - so brand new, that they'd just signed the paperwork as I arrived to photograph them! It made finding areas to shoot within their home pretty easy without furniture to fight with lighting!

These three are adorable. Especially Jack, Heidi and Mike's "almost" 1 year old. Whether out for a walk, or enjoying a drink together on the patio, they love to be together as a family - whether breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Honestly, at this stage in their family life, that's what it's all about. They don't want to miss these moments together as a family of three. With cuteness like this, I can't say that I blame them.

Together is their favorite place to be - and I'm loving it.

Family and Pizza: Victor NY Family Portraits

What a treat it is to work with fellow entreprenurial families. In this case, it's no exaggeration to say that the whole family is all hands on deck when it comes to their pizzeria - DeTomaso's Pizzeria in Victor NY.

They're also a lot of fun to photograph. We laughed a lot at each other during their portrait session both at their home and at the pizzeria. Siblings tend to have that effect on each other sometimes.

I enjoyed their playfulness and skills - even when nearly ate snow because I made the mistake of asking an eight year old to flip snow at me with her hockey stick. Lessons learned!

If you want to meet the fam, stop on in to the shop and grab a slice of pizza. Say hello and enjoy!

Apples, Family and Pictures: Candid Family Mini Sessions Fairport NY

I've been writing these event posts all year with my goal being to show you how much fun and how worthwhile our membership program is.

The events we plan are typically not over the top. They're things your family might do whether or not our cameras were there. For example, going apple picking. It's a fun fall activity, which you might do all on your own time together as a family.

I love seeing the little things at these events, like a child instinctually grab grandma or grandpa's hand as they walk through the orchard. I love watching our families grow together and seeing the kids interact with each other along the way.

And at the end of the day, we have the privilege of giving you back those moments in the photographs we take.

We have one more awesome event planned in October and really hope that you'll all join us. If you're interested in coming, we'll be at Wickham Farms on October 29th from 12-2pm. Whether your a member or not, we want to enjoy these moments with you!

Family Portraits in Victor NY: Cobblestone Neighborhood

Slowing this family down is tough to do. They've been on the go all summer, traveling for their various lacrosse games together. But we managed to find an hour together for some portraits with them at home, and their dog Murphy.

When they get the chance, their ideal weekends would include each other, and maybe some golf, or relaxing by the pool.

While we didn't play golf or hit the pool, the girls did show me some of their lacrosse skills while the dog ran around the yard chasing sticks. And what matters more is, that they were together at home, even if for a short time.
