6 years and two children later, this beautiful family holds a special place in my heart. To this day, I still have the thank you card on my bulletin board that they wrote to me after their wedding. I've kept it all of these years as a reminder of when I was just starting out. It's great couples like Dana and Michel that helped me grow. Their trust and continued support truly means the world to me as we continue to grow. I'm so incredibly thankful for them. On top of that, they make adorable children and are so much fun to work with. We picked the perfect afternoon to play in the park together. Check out their cuteness - I just love all of their faces and can't wait to see them again! ~ Erin
Sports Senior Photos | Victor NY High School
I first photographed Dan about three years ago in a family portrait. In just that short amount of time, he has grown and matured into a wonderful young man. Dan is athletic, but well-rounded; motivated, sincere and a joy to be around. We share the joys of vegetable gardening and playing with our dogs. For his senior session, we went to the Victor High School. We started on the soccer field for some action shots, then walked around to the main entrance and ended up on the track for this fierce shot. Dan is one of the few on his team to still run hurdles.
Special thanks to my lovely assistants this morning, Betty and Jake for making this session even more fun!
Congrats Dan, enjoy your senior year! Lori
Family Pictures at the Eastman House Gardens
Meet Liam and his parents. We hit up the Eastman House gardens to celebrate Liam at 9 months. He is standing and leaning like a big boy, and oh so handsome! He was a trooper through the heat and and a few outfit changes, and loved showing off his crawling skills at the end of the session. The Eastman House was a perfect backdrop for this wonderful family's portraits. I hope you enjoy this little man's smiles like I do!
Until next time, Lori
Penfield High School Senior Portraits: Delaney
Delaney is a little bit shy, into writing and reading, and loves the outdoors. Naturally, we encouraged all of those activities when we were setting up her senior portrait experience, even the shy part. For her senior session, we went to Linear Park in Penfield and found the perfect out-of-the-way spots to let her be her. The shoot was simple and smooth, and she did much better than she gives herself credit for. Delaney was a pleasure to work with and we love the results! Here's our favorites!
Have a great year Delaney! Lori
Family Pictures at the Park: Fairport NY Portrait Sessions
There's nothing like coming home for a visit, especially when a stop in at Abbott's is involved. These guys traveled from Oklahoma for a visit with Nonny - and I was excited when they got in touch with us to have a little fun with them while they were here. We hit up Perinton Park in Fairport, where tree climbing and a little goofiness quickly ensued. Some of those goofy images are my favorites from the day. They show their personalities and having some fun together. These guys were pros at taking great portraits, and had fun too! Mom - I think they earned their ice cream...
It was a beautiful afternoon at the park, and great to visit with them, even if it was for a short time! ~ Erin
Leo's Senior Portraits | Penfield High School
Leo's senior portrait session was unlike one we've ever photographed before. I'm seriously excited to show you these images, and the fusion video we created to go with it!
Leo is a fun, outgoing 2015 senior at Penfield High School. When we talked about all of the things he wanted to incorporate into this session, the ideas just started flowing! He's really into cars, and has a super terrific uncle who let us borrow this beauty of a classic car for the day. I just LOVE some of the images that came out of it, and Leo looks like that car suits him well!
Leo also enjoys his guitar, snowboarding and fishing in his free time, so it was fun to incorporate all of those into his session as well.
We hope you enjoy this fusion video as much as we enjoyed making it! Let us know what you think, or upgrade your session to a fusion session to add video clips and tell your story in a different way. Below are a few of our favorite still captures from the day.
Thanks so much Leo-- you were incredible to work with and everyone had a great time! Enjoy your senior year!

Lori's 365 Project for July 2014
Summer. Work hard, play hard. That has been my theme for my photo-a-day 365 project this month. My shots are from weddings, senior portraits and family sessions. And when I had a little time off from shooting, I was traveling, hiking, gardening, or walking the dogs. It's been a really fun month making some awesome images for some awesome people. Alright August, top this!
As always, you are welcome to join us day-to-day on the Instagram feed! Thanks for hanging out! -Lori
Extended Family Portraits | Rochester NY Photographers
We've come across a bit of a trend lately. Many of our family portraits have been of families coming into town for an exciting occasion. For this family, it was for their parents' (or grandparents' in some cases) 50th wedding anniversary and the party that went with it. What a treat for them to have their whole family in one place at the same time! It was the perfect night for portraits. We had fun working with everyone, capturing everything from a big group family photograph to individual images of each of the kids, and also some goofy, fun photographs with each family.
Enjoy this peek at a few of our favorites! ~ Erin
Big family portraits: Pittsford NY family sessions
21 family members, all in together in town for a brief moment in time. What a great idea to get one big family portrait! We're so glad they called us to capture them all together, and some separate family shots. It may have been a short session, but it really went off without a hitch. And on top of that, we had time for a little silliness with the kids too! What fun!
Until next time! - Erin
Family fun at the cottage! Lake Ontario Family Portraits
The Fourth of July is a time for vacations, family, and fun. Years ago, this family's story originated here in Brockport, NY. As they grew up and started their own families, they moved to other areas of the United States. That's what makes this session so special. They all came back home with their kids, to vacation together over the holiday at their parents cottage, on the shores of Lake Ontario. Naturally with everyone home, it was also the perfect time to capture their family portrait!
It was definitely not an easy feat to get 5 children and 8 adults, in one family photograph together - but we made it happen, and we're so glad we were able to do this for such a wonderful, growing family.
Here's a few from the fun we had - enjoy! ~ Erin
High School Senior Portraits for the Class of 2014
So we may be a month late with this post and for that we apologize! We couldn't let another day go by without congratulating our 2014 high school seniors. We were so honored that you chose us to photograph your senior sessions. We had so much fun working with each and every one of you. Each session was different in it's own way, based on all of the activities and hobbies you enjoy - which made our job even more fun! We wish the Class of 2014 all the best on their future endeavors. We hope that you'll achieve your dreams, while in your own way making the future a better place for those who come after you.
Congratulations to Kathryn, Naomi, Katie, Jessica, Nate and Kate! Here's to you! ~ Erin & Lori
Mendon Ponds Park Family Pictures
We caught up with Carter, Cameron and Cole at Mendon Ponds Park last week for a fun, playful, outdoor session. They even brought along Daisy, the family dog, to play! These boys were full of energy and spunk. I love the RGB color scheme and the liveliness it brings to the images. We even got mom and dad in there for a couple family portraits. Enjoy this little glimpse!
Thanks for hanging out with us! Until next time, Lori
