Three Generation Family Picture : Family Portraits in Rochester NY

Christmas is family time, and I love revealing the genuine connection between family members.

This little boy is so lucky, he has two amazing parents, and two sets of grandparents that love him like crazy. We met the day after Christmas, which last year, meant no snow. We took a few shots outside, and then went inside to warm up and play.

I just love this little guy's energy. He loves trains, reading, music, and especially the jack-in-the-box. It was my pleasure to capture these moments, and I know they will be treasured for many years to come.

Enjoy this little peek, and see you next time!

Winter Family Session : Victor NY

I love being a part of making beautiful portraits for families. I love it even more when the family I'm photographing was a former wedding couple of ours. Being there when the family grows is so exciting and really means the world to us.

This cutie was a little shy at first, but by the end of our time we were having a tea party together. I never mind a good cup of tea prepared by a toddler with a Fisher Price tea kettle. That's an opportunity you just don't pass up.

I can't wait to watch her grow - and now that they've joined our fun, new membership program we get to be there as she does! Here's a peek at our first of many fun sessions together.

Paul and Stephanie, featuring Row! Rochester NY Portrait Sessions

I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty excited to meet Row! Isn't she adorable? She's also soft and sweet. And of yeah, of course I wanted to see Paul and Steph again, too. :)

I've known Paul and Steph... hmm, maybe 8 years or so? We met at RIT where Steph now works as an advisor to photo students. (Small world, huh?) Paul is busy conquering the world of Mobile Apps creating with his many online education initiatives. Check out some of his work here:

We met up at one of their favorite places, Joe Bean Coffee Roasters, for a few photos before taking Row to the park for their holiday portraits. It was certainly an adventure, as Row wanted to say "hi" to every dog she saw, but it was a lot of fun and we laughed our way through it all.

I'm really excited about what we're putting together for their wall. A collage of 3 images on metal... it's going to look amazing!

Until next time,

Lori

Sledding Fun: Fairport NY Photographers

So, the day we had our first Member Event of 2016 it was COLD. Like, 17 degrees, but it felt like 3 degrees cold. Needless to say, my flip flops did not apply here.

Me, I much prefer hibernation to most things having to do with snow and cold - but I had fun with a few other brave souls who stopped in to sled with us. For the few minutes we were out there, we had fun!

We plan on having multiple events throughout the year (most of them much, much warmer) as part of our brand new Membership program. Our members will receive these images to keep, in a great book at the end of the year, as well as digitally.

We're SO excited to talk about this program. We have everything from zoo trips, to picnics, and Halloween costume parties planned! None of which, will require snow or seven layers of clothing to participate!

There's more perks to being a member, I've only just scratched the surface here. And we want to share the deets with you - so please, ask!

Until next time, here's a few of the images from our adventures in sledding! Stay warm everyone! ~ Erin

Cobblestone Family Session: Victor NY Portraits

It was the last light of a fall night, but we snuck outside for some fun. Christian showed off his lacrosse skills, while Anna played soccer. And Lucy, she wanted to dance and swing on the playground! This family is so full of energy, it was contagious.

Their perfect Saturday? Sleeping in, making "Uncle Joe's" pancakes, and visiting family at Sylvia Lake in the Adirondacks or on the farm in Ovid, NY.

Check out the December issue of Cobblestone Living Magazine to see them on the glossy pages, or just enjoy the sneak peek below!

Jason and Leah, thank you so much for inviting me into your lives. We hope to see you again soon!

Fun with Family Portraits: Fairport NY Portrait Session

Fall days don't come much nicer than this! It was a cool morning, but the colors were vibrant and the leaves perfectly placed. Beth, Tom, Sam and Miley were coordinated and relaxed.

I was very impressed with their dog Miley, she is much better trained than my dogs and that made it so easy to work with her! Sam brought his football for some casual pictures, and we ended up with many great images. Thanks for choosing Lori and Erin Photography and we hope to see you again soon! Enjoy!

Halloween with the Colemans : Family Pictures

Are you ready for some insanely adorable? Well it's coming your way!

This fall, we made a special trip to Syracuse to capture these 4 kiddos and their families. We started at a cool park with lots of amazing colors. Flynn and Clara loved playing in the leaves and watching the squirrels run around like crazy.

After a quick lunch break, we drove over to the an apple farm to meet up with their cousins, Landon and Dempsey. The boys were super sweet, and enjoyed running up and down the rows, playing on the bridges and throwing rocks in the pond. Since it was Halloween, they popped into their costumes for a few quick shots before the quest for candy.

I'm so glad to have Captain America and Iron Man in my corner! Love you all,
-Aunt Lori

Rochester Newborn Photography at Home

Little T made a slightly early debut, which sometimes happens as babies are always unpredictable. But he is so cute, and so cuddly that I don't think anyone minds one bit. We are so so so excited that he's here, and adding some new feet to Mommy and Daddy's crew of two pups and a cat (who avoided us and the cameras on our visit).

From his little yawns, to little cries he's already got us wrapped around his little fingers. We are excited to watch him grow and change into one of the cutest kids we know.

Congratulations, Rowan, Kevin, Roxy, Kinsey and Pippa on your newest little addition. And welcome to the world Theo!

McQuaid Senior Portraits: Jack & Family

Jack is a soon-to-be McQuaid graduate. He's a rower on the crew team and an all around good guy. We photographed his high school senior session at the Boat House at Genesee Valley Park. We hung around the docks, on the path and even went inside the boathouse for a few.

What made this session different, was the addition of his mom, dad, and sister into the photographs too. We took a little bit time to create some family portraits for them as well. Jack heads off to college soon, so this was the perfect day to have their family picture updated as well. As the sun went down on the river, the light was perfect for some great images.

Congratulations Jack, and thanks for a great waterfront session! ~ Lori & Erin

Five years together: Our Anniversary Portraits

Nearly 11 years ago, John and I first met inside one of these brick buildings. RIT played such a huge roll in our dating lives, in fact all of our dating. It was just days after I graduated that John proposed and we became "fiancés". Now that we've been married for 5 years, I wanted to celebrate where we are now as a family, with 2 fur babies, at the place where it all started.

My favorite from this set of images, captured by who other than the amazing Erin Perrotta, is the first one below-left. That's us, our little family, in front of our freshman year dorms. The session was so much fun. Walking around with two dogs on campus, we had some students come pet Molley and Mouse and say how much they missed their dogs. If only we could have had pets in the dorms...

We hit up a few spots on the residential side of campus, and ended at the field house. How nice of them to paint "We ❤︎ our Alumni" just for us! After Erin left, we continued walking and exploring the academic side of campus. John hadn't been back in years, so we reminisced over what was the same, and oogled at all the new buildings. We especially love the Global Village area with all of the new restaurants and outdoor seating.

We ended the night watching Mouse try to drink from one of the pulsing fountains. That's a mental picture I won't soon forget!

In the end, it's a really lovely memory: walking campus with the man I love and my two furry loves. And thanks to Erin, we have photos to remember it by. Happy anniversary love, here's to the next 5 years!

One Year Session: Fall Family Portraits

He's always on the move, and he kept me on my toes for his entire session. I loved chasing him around in the fallen leaves of the backyard. Watching him become a toddler throughout the year has been a lot of fun.

My favorite part of this session was the cake smash. An empty dining room gave us plenty of space for the big, sugary mess of cake Jameson left behind in his footprints. Parents who are willing to let their baby get gooey and cakey right in their own house - LOVE it. The pictures are totally worth the chocolate handprints left behind.

We look forward to watching you continue to grow Jameson! ~ Erin

Family Portraits in Spencerport NY

Last time I photographed this family, they were a family of four. Now - they're a complete family of six. And as hard as I try, I can't imagine anything more beautiful.

But first, you have to imagine me with my camera, Lori, and Mom and Dad each wrangling in a child for their family portrait. I'm sure that anyone nearby watching had a good laugh at our expense. And I'm also pretty sure we were laughing right along with them. Thank goodness for the man to man defense at this session! It was crazy, but it was fun too!

When they found out they were having twins, after already having two handsome boys - scared didn't begin to cover what they were feeling. But seriously, look at these faces. The twins are now one year old, and while they may be hard to slow down - they're also pretty adorable together.

I've been blessed to be able to photograph each one of these kiddos through the years, and every time it gets better and better. I'm so lucky to have them as part of my family! ~ Erin
