What do a Thanksgiving snow storm and an super cute, active 3 year old have in common? There's two correct answers here. One... they both move quickly! Two... this session! In this area, it's easy to assume that you can't take good outdoor family portraits in the winter. Over the past few weeks, we've come to realize that it can be just as much fun and on top of that unique!

We visited the Highland Park Conservatory, for some fun indoor photos, as well as played in the newly falling snow. They brought along some favorite toys including a baseball bat, trucks, ball and yes, a stick. No amount of tryptophan was going to slow this little guy down! Have you ever played baseball in the snow? It's not easy, that's for sure!

In the end, catching snowflakes on our tongues turned out to be an easier task. Enjoy these winter wonderland photos!
