Graffiti Senior Portraits, Pittsford Sutherland High School

Tristin is in her senior year at Pittsford Sutherland high school. She's also an artist, and has many interests ranging from the ukelele to fishing.

She wanted something unique and fun, so for her senior portrait session we went on an adventure! We found some amazing, somewhat hidden graffiti in Rochester, where she rocked every outfit she brought like a #girlboss.

We had so much fun, and I really believe that shows clearly in these images. Check them out and leave Tristin some love in the comments.

Have a great senior year girl!

Day-in-the-Life at the Family Cottage

Did you know, that there is an island in Lake Ontario, near Sodus? I didn't.

It's called Eagle Island, and is home to many summer cottages. Obviously, you need a boat to get there, so I got a lift to this day-in-the-life portrait session.

I started capturing the day before I even stepped onto the dock. It was my privilege to accompany this extended family on a summer day at their cottage.

This day in the life session included both sun and rain (which we haven't had much of this year). Also, I can't call it a typical session, as most of my sessions don't take place on a boat. Though I think could get used to the idea...

I believe this documentary style of photography is overlooked in the family portrait realm. Life is a wild and crazy adventure, and perfect outfits in front of a wrinkle free background doesn't do it justice.

Andrea said this session was, "A perfect representation of what our summer weekends are like."  That makes me happy. Wouldn't you like a time machine to the best days of your life?

So rather than tell you what we did, I want to show you.

I think every family should have something like this, no boat or island cottage required. If you believe in the power of photography, and want to have a record of your wild, crazy, fun life, call us today! I can't wait to be a part of your adventure.

Disclaimer: We spent about 20 minutes of this five hour session making portraits, so it was roughly 95% documentary. Because this was an extended family gathering, everyone doesn't get together very often. So it made sense to get a couple of group shots that wouldn't naturally happen on their own. I'm okay with that if you are.

Victor High School Senior Portraits: Rachel

Rachel is a gorgeous girl with a beautiful smile and an adventurous spirit. So naturally, we went on a little adventure for her senior pictures.

This bubbly Victor High School student led us on a tour of part of the Auburn Trails in search of an old abandoned house at the end of this particular trail. Unfortunately we took a wrong turn somewhere and never found the house, but we did find some spectacular spots for her portraits anyway!

We found pretty wildflowers and fun trails paths through the woods. The black eyed susans were exactly the right color we were hoping to find. And her big teddy bear of a dog, Coda, was the best (and most lovable) accessory to her portraits.

Have a fun-filled Senior year Rachel!

Honeoye Family Session

Most of our family sessions are a blend of some portrait set-ups and then some documentary style fun.

At three years old, Cedella was mostly interested in playing around her swing set and having a nice cup of tea with mom and dad. While Nesta, the family beagle, was never far away.

We walked around their property and enjoyed some family snuggles along the way. Here are just a few of my favorites from this fun session.

Enjoy, and reach out when you are ready for your family portraits!

Victor High School Senior Portraits: Justin

I'd like you to meet Justin, and his adorable lab, Micco!

This right here is what all senior sessions should be... a little bit of adventure, and a lot of fun! We explored the village of Victor and found some great settings for Justin.

We showed off his casual side, got a little patriotic, and then went up the hill to Ganondagan where you can find him running with the cross-country team. He told me about this great view, and we managed to get there right at sunset. Perfect timing. :)

Have a great senior year Justin, and if you are looking for something a little different for your senior portraits, say hello!

Cheers!

Family Portraits in Victor NY: Family pictures at the Pool

When I think of my favorite sessions, they often go something like this. A few portraits around the house, and then let the kids play!

That's exactly what we did. We had a great morning in Victor with this family of five. All of the kids love lacrosse, so they got their uniforms on and showed me some of their skills. They raced around the yard and then jumped into the pool to cool off... in their clothes! I love this shot of them all in the air doing something slightly different.

Thanks for being you, and letting me be the witness!

Cheers!
Lori

Pittsford High School Senior Pictures: Sara

Sara described herself to us as cheerful, loyal, and a bit shy. She did start out a little shy at the start, but by the end of her senior portrait session she was anything but.

Some of her interests include reading, writing and photography. A girl after our own hearts, we explored the gardens at the George Eastman Museum, books and cameras in hand!

She's just moved here from Switzerland, (yes, the country) and is really looking forward to experiencing what it's like to be a high school senior in an American high school.

What an adventure and an exciting time she's going to have! Have a great year Sara!

One Week New: Fairport NY Portrait Photography

Witnessing our wedding couples start their families is by far one of the best parts of this job. There's no better times to be a part of a family's life - the day they get married, and when they become a family of three.

This little one is only one week old and already the brightest star in Gail and Greg's sky. I could feel their happiness to be parents from the moment we arrived. Every time they looked down at her tiny little face, their own faces lit up with love.

It's hard to believe such a small bundle can change your world so completely. Greg and Gail, congratulations on your perfectly sleepy little lady! We can't wait to capture her as she grows!

Family Pictures at Lollypop Farm: Flynn & Clara

These kids... they are something else.

Flynn doesn't sit still for a second. At 18 months that's really no surprise. And Clara? Well she is a sweetheart with an attitude. I had the pleasure of sharing one of my favorite places with them, Lollypop Farm.

We checked out the animals and hit up the playground next door for a non-stop morning of fun.

Does anything beat the smile of a toddler? Not in my opinion, especially not this toddler. Love you both more than words can say!

xoxo,
Aunt Lori

Victor High Senior Portraits: Josh

Josh is the middle child of an amazing family. I have been lucky to get to know them over the last few years. His brother Matt's senior photo already hangs in their office, so I felt a tiny bit of pressure going into this session to make something equally as awesome.

Well, Josh brought his A-game, and we found some amazing nooks and crannies at Center Park that fit him perfectly. Being by the water brought back memories of frog catching days of yesteryear – he almost had one this time too!

And I just love the way those orange pants stick out against the greenery. We also had a few quiet moments in the woods, and I had a lot of fun playing with reflections in the water.

All in all, I'd call this session a success and I can't wait for Ally's (their youngest) turn in front of the lens!

My Favorite Family Portrait: Allegany State Park

My Favorite Family Portrait: Allegany State Park

Yet I have one of my favorite family portraits. It's not posed perfectly. My son is taking off his shoes (one of his favorite activities these days). And we certainly didn't coordinate our clothes that morning. Heck, half of us were lucky we'd even showered. Makeup? Forget it.

I don't care, I still love the results.
